I am Abby Cartwright, Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and founder of Every Woman Physio.
Pelvic health physiotherapy for women at every stage of life.
With over 15 years’ experience, I help women understand their pelvic health, feel confident talking about often-taboo symptoms, and get the right support to live the life they want.
I offer warm, down-to-earth and individualised care for women experiencing pelvic health concerns — or simply wanting to better understand and look after their pelvic floor.
Pelvic health problems are incredibly common, but common doesn’t mean you have to put up with them. Many are treatable, and the right advice can make a real difference to how you feel in your body and everyday life.
I’m delighted to offer private, one-to-one pelvic health appointments at The hide, a beautiful and peaceful setting where you can feel comfortable, listened to and at ease.

Whether you have a specific symptom, are recovering from pregnancy and birth, noticing changes around perimenopause or menopause, or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, I offer personalised, evidence-informed support tailored to you.

• Pelvic floor weakness or overactivity
• Bladder leaking, urgency and frequency
• Vaginal prolapse
• Bowel leakage, including wind
• Constipation
• Pelvic floor changes during perimenopause and menopause
• Pregnancy and prenatal pelvic floor preparation
• Postnatal rehabilitation
• Birth-related pelvic floor problems and birth trauma
• Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
• Pain during intercourse
• Pelvic pain
A Personal Approach To Your Care
No two women or recovery journeys are the same.
Your treatment is shaped around your symptoms, priorities, goals and lifestyle — never a one-size-fits-all programme.
If you’ve been living with symptoms for years, have recently had a baby, or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, you’ll be listened to and treated with dignity and respect.
Your Consultation
Pelvic health can feel incredibly personal, so creating a safe, relaxed and confidential environment is an important part of my practice.
Your initial consultation begins with a detailed discussion about your medical history and concerns. This may include questions about bladder, bowel and sexual health, but everything is approached sensitively and at your own pace.
Where appropriate, I may offer a physical assessment, including an intimate pelvic floor examination. This will always be explained and discussed with you beforehand, step by step, so you can make an informed choice about whether you would like to proceed.
Following your assessment, we’ll develop a tailored treatment and rehabilitation plan based on what you need and what you want to achieve.
Treatments may include:
Personalised pelvic floor exercises
Advice on bladder and bowel habits
Breathing, movement and relaxation techniques
Hands-on treatment where appropriate
Support with pain management and symptom reduction
Pregnancy and birth preparation
Postnatal recovery
Progressive rehabilitation and a safe return to exercise
Education to help you understand your body and manage symptoms confidently
My Approach
My mission through Every Woman Physio is to break the taboo around pelvic health and make good-quality information accessible to women.
Too often, women are told that leaking, pelvic discomfort, prolapse or changes following childbirth are simply something they have to put up with. Common doesn’t mean normal, and many pelvic health problems are treatable.
I want women to leave my care feeling more informed, more confident and more in control of their bodies.
Alongside my one-to-one clinical work, I share practical pelvic health education and advice through Every Woman Physio, including my Pelvic Floor Masterclass, helping women understand and look after their pelvic floor and core throughout life.
If something doesn’t feel quite right, you don’t have to just put up with it. I’d love to help you understand what’s going on and work out what might help.
